Essaouira
On this day, you will head out for a day trip to Essaouira with your private driver. founded in the 18th century, Essaouira was built to be a rival city to Agadir. Formerly known as Mogador, meaning small fortress, it was designed as a fortified town surrounded by Vauban-style ramparts. On your way to Essaouira, you driver will pull over to see the goats on the trees.
Today, Essaouira has become the most popular coastal town in Morocco. There are several “must-sees” in Essaouira – the Skala by the Port, the wood souk below the ramparts, where local artisans produce amazing sculptures, boxes, chess boards and the Medina of Essaouira, one of the best maintained medinas in Morocco.
